On 16 and 17 May 2012, QualityLife Company will host the 7th Annual Women’s Leadership “We are the Leaders we’ve been Waiting for” conference in Johannesburg, a two-day gathering of women which has been described as the most dynamic event on the women’s leadership calendar.

The conference aims to show you how to fast-track your career from good manager to great leader and how to step confidently into your own leadership potential.

QualityLife Company is delighted that for the second year running the IDC (Industrial Development Corporation) and SAfm are throwing their weight behind this initiative.

Debby Edelstein, women’s leadership consultant and co-founder of Quality-Life company, initiated the conference – now in its 7th year – which has become well known for boasting a slew of accomplished women leaders on its panels within a warm, informal enviroment.

Some of the confirmed speakers for 2012 include Phylicia Oppelt, editor of The Times newspaper; Phuti Malabie, CEO Shanduka Group; Lauren Siebrits, former CEO of PepsiCo; Heidi Brauer, marketing director of; and Internationally acclaimed author and speaker Lynne Franks who wrote The Seed Handbook: The femine way to create business who will join the conference via video link-in from London.

A powerful combination of presentations, panel discussions, group dialogue processes and informal networking sessions provide the context for women to discover their own leadership potential and make sure that they can reap the rewards in their personal lives and within their organisations.

Testimonies from delegates from previous years attest to the value of the skills learned and relationships built at the conference. Ellen Mahlangu of Eskom, a past delegate comments that

The beauty of the conference is that the skills that we learned can be applied anywhere, at home at work and in the community. The content was practical and relevant to the current issues faced by women.”

“I loved this conference. Fabulous panels. Clever interaction. Brilliant facilitator. Relevant topics. It built me up.”
