Society has a problem with nudity when it is not packaged for the consumption of male entertainment. Then in becomes confusing. Nudity is OK when she’s wearing heels and saying things that suggests sex. When she is naked for her own agenda, one does not serve male interests, she is wrong.

According to society, women can’t own their own bodies. Welp.

According to me, I can. Ha.

Nudism is a cultural and political movement practicing and advocating and defending social nudity in private and in public. The concept is based on “returning to nature”.

Granted, nudism can contain aspects of eroticism but it’s not the main objective. Nudism is the act of being naked, while naturism is a lifestyle. It tends to embrace nature, environment, respect for others, self-respect, crafts, healthy eating, vegetarianism, non-smoking, yoga etc. You catch my drift. It’s a bunch of hippy shit. But hippies were happy, no?

Anyway, I support this movement because it helps me feel more comfortable with myself. We’re constantly bombarded with media: magazines, TV, movies that tell us what the “perfect body” looks like. Again, that is so relative. I really think it’s important to be happy with your body. This mean reconditioning yourself and filling your mind with healthy body images. That’s what I’m doing. Starting with mine.

I AM LOVED. By me.

Are you?
