Shehnaz Cassim-Moosa

Shehnaz Cassim-Moosa grew up in Stanger but lives in Cape Town. She received the Nelson-Mandela Unilever foundation scholarship and completed my masters degree at the University of London – School of oriental and african studies. She has an MSC in violence, conflict and development and is currently working as a research assistant to Zubeida Jaffer – she is writing a book on Charlotte Maxeke the first black woman to obtain a university degree. She enjoys, spoken word poetry, hip-hop, dance and yoga and exploring distant shores.
